Empty Lot

215 W. Broughton St.

The “empty lot” at 215 w. Broughton St. was originally a commercial space for stores such as Marcus & Company, Fines, Inc Jean Samul, and Kaybee & Moskin’s Department Store. According to newspapers, the store burned down on November 29, 1973. The building was demolished, and the lot remains vacant today, with only a lateral support beam and an elevator shaft remaining.
